EIGHT WOMEN WHO INSPIRE US: ON INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY (AND EVERY DAY IN BETWEEN)
This International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating eight remarkable women who inspire us today (and every day in between). From sustainable fashion designers to pre-loved style advocates, these women are reshaping the way we think about style, creativity, and consumption - showing that fashion can be thoughtful, lasting, and kind to the planet.

Anna Foster
Founder and Creative Director of pioneering sustainable denim brand E.L.V. DENIM, Anna’s brand operates from an ideal of zero waste, every piece of denim used in production has zero impact on the environment and gives a second life to a fabric which otherwise would be destined for landfill.

Faith Rowan Leeves
Founder of the slow‑fashion label Faith‑Rowan Leeves, Faith designs and makes high‑quality, made‑to-order womenswear using natural and deadstock fabrics, pushing back against fast fashion’s waste and exploitation. She works from her studio, carefully sourcing materials and collaborating with a small team of seamstresses to create garments meant to be cherished and worn for years.
Sam Preston
Sam Preston is an Australian-based personal stylist and digital creator with a passion for minimalist, timeless fashion. She shares styling tips, wardrobe edits, and trend insights on Instagram, building a community around responsible consumption and capsule wardrobe principles rather than fast-moving trends. Sam works with individuals and brands to refine personal style and curate considered wardrobes that feel effortless yet polished, championing a “less is more” approach to how we dress and shop.
Rachel Jefferson
Founded in 2022 by Rachel Jefferson, Label Hjem is a design studio dedicated to giving textiles a new life. Working with discarded clothing and surplus materials, Rachel transforms them into thoughtfully reworked pieces made to be used and appreciated for longer. We’ve loved collaborating with Rachel to bring many of our in-house designs to life.
Amy Bannerman
Amy Bannerman, Pre‑Loved Style Director at eBay UK, was headhunted three years ago to style Love Island and now leads eBay’s pre‑loved fashion, curating wardrobes, shaping trends, and championing sustainable style. With 20+ years’ experience in editorial and celebrity styling, she’s a passionate advocate for conscious, second‑hand fashion.
Fay Wong
